Southwest Festivals, Inc.  Waxahachie, TX  1997 to 2020

Scarborough Renaissance Festival and SCREAMS Halloween Theme Park

General Manager (1997-2020)

Site Manager (1997-2006)
Entertainment Director (1997-2011)

Responsible for the coordination and management of all festival functions. Set up workshop program for 150 paid and volunteer cast members and negotiated stage contracts. Supervise grounds, 200 independent craft shops, food service, marketing, safety services, accounting, and office support. Manage all new construction, rebuild, and design for 40 acre Faire Site. Oversee entire 154-acre site including utilities and upkeep. Responsible for Board summaries, strategic planning, budget, and annual operational strategies.  Average annual attendance for Scarborough Renaissance Festival is 250,000 over 17 days. SCREAMS average attendance is 75,000 over 12 days.


HealthCare Cable Systems, Inc. Conroe, TX 1993 to 1997

Executive Vice President / COO

Duties include contract negotiation, P and L reports, Board Summaries and marketing presentations. Direct supervision of Business Services, Sales, Research and Development, and Technical/Construction Operations. Also held a Director position on the Board.

 
The Methodist Hospital System, Inc.  Houston, TX 1988-1993

MG 02 Visual Communications

Supervised staff of 3 exempt and 22 bi-weekly employees. Services included Computer Graphics, Video Production, TV Services, AV Staging, Patient and Staff Education, and the Print Shop. Annual budget $ 2.7 million. Worked as liaison between Administration and Medical Staff.

 
The Methodist Hospital Inc. Houston, TX 1987-1988

Contract Administrator

Instrumental in the planning, designing, and construction of the first, largest, and most profitable two way, 550 MHz, fully addressable private TV System in the world. Liaison between Administration, Medical Staff and Patient Care personnel for the length of the project. Creator and engineer of educational programming venues and hardware support for the Hospital. Total initial cost $ 2.25 million.

 
South Coast Studios 1986-1987

Executive Director

Instructed Actors and Corporate Executives in on-camera techniques and communication skills. Combination casting facility and training school for actors and production companies filming in the region with ongoing classes for all ages.

 
Lawbro/Ryan Construction, New Orleans 1983-1985

Project Manager

Responsible for bid documents, material purchasing and scheduling, and coordination of sub-contractors, liaison between owners and architects. Supervision of Accounting, Payroll, and Personnel. Projects included 1984 Worlds Fair, Texaco Center, Canal Place and Jax Brewery.

 
Warner Amex/Gulf Coast Cable Houston-Dallas TX 1979-1983

Vice President of Engineering/Construction


Assigned to Warner in Dallas, Texas, through Contract Management, Inc., was responsible for the build out and design of 100,000 apartment units per month. Harmonized relationships between City Government, Home and Apartment Owners, and existing Utility Companies during the construction of the Dallas area.
